I chose to encourage, but the first thing i have to do is to listen to what the woman in the city says with my monarch. However there is no option to listen to her.

There is apparently a bug for this quest. Ctrl + click on the quest box in the bottom left and it will bypass the listening part and continue with the quest.

Your character and the teacher must become the best friends. Exploere the trait aspects in the conversation. My queen managed to convert the teacher to the peteran faith and then she jumped to the podium and the queen could listen to the lesson.

I am doing Dangerous Minds and also cannot get my monarch to listen - there is no command to do so.
This is annoying because I will have to abandon it, and I have just had to abandon the Gangs of Aarbyville too as I could not kill the king.

How the heck do you complete this freakin quest!?!
I've searched for answers everywhere i go.

one says have the monarch get a costume from the servant to disguise and listen into the teachers conversations but no option. But when I went to my merchant, I noticed in her responsibilities saying "Make a costume" so I assumed that who ever added that comment was wrong about it getting a costume fromt he servant but instead form your merchant how do you do that?

and another says To get the Eavesdrop option, remove the Instructor as far way from the default animation path as possible (get out of the Town Center) by having the King send them to the stocks).

and another one says

In the guide book, it says after you talk to the kid to convince him, the next step should be, "Ask the teacher if he needs anything else."
When i did this quest, it had the usual yellow bubbles directing me to the teacher. Not sure why it's not proceeding to the next part for you, but maybe you can try manually clicking the teacher to see if it has the chat command?

and which kid is it that I am suppose to convince?

if any of these hints works for any of you or you already found out please post how it is done. this quest is very frustrating and it could also be a bug in the game for this quest is what i think.

1.) To get the costume you go to your servant and click on them to open up the interactions panel. Choose the option that says "Get Ghost Costume" or whatever. The daily responsibilities are very different from the quest responsibilities and should be treated independently. So, get a costume from your servant and supplies from your merchant to make a costume (or if possible, just buy one from the merchant?).

2.) So, have your monarch send the teacher to the stocks. Not sure why they're having you do this, but you should complete the request nonetheless. I didn't have to do this when I did the quest.

3.) For this, there should be two yellow bubbles that appear on the screen with children's faces on them. Click on both and choose the option to "Convince Child to go to School" or whatever it says. And yes, just manually click the teacher for the command to ask what he needs next.

So far, I haven't had any troubles with the quest. I think I'm close to completing it, but it is pretty frustrating at times and sort of lengthy. Otherwise, it's an okay quest once you get past those confusing parts. (:

I have successfully completed the quest by shutting it down.

The "listen" option is actually on the Teacher when she is teaching on the small stand. Once she is standing on the stand and starts teaching, click on her and the "listen" option should be there.

Sometimes it gets bugged up like that.

When I was doing my quest the first time, I had a slightly different problem. The teacher kept going back to the podium to teach and refuses to leave even though I needed to interact with her.

I had to reload the game to redo the quest.

I asked my servant to get it three days ago, and he still hasn't come back.

Did you get this figured out?

You click on the Instructor and say continue tour or something like, it might actually say tour reception hall. Then from the outside view she clicks on the Reception hall and Enter, they'll follow. Be sure you do End Tour, or they'll just hang out there for a long time!

I'm trying to complete the: listen to the instructors lesson at the town square quest. I have tried to eavesdropping several times but it dosen't work. And I tried to the Ctrl + click on the quest box so I can move past it, but that dosen't work either. What are i'm going to do?

To get past the part where you have to listen to the teacher, you have to go into %gamefolder%\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Ini and open the file named Commands. (you might have to go into properties and change the file from a read-only) Change TestingCheatsEnabled=0 to TestingcheatsEnabled=1 and then you'll be able to ctrl+click the quest step and still get the experience.

How do I get the merchant to catch the silly mice?!? She's tried 3 days in a row. Twice she tried luring with cheese and once she tried chasing. What do I need to do with that?! And thanks for the help on the Listening to Instruction. That worked like a charm!

Hello!

My Queen managed to make friendship with the teacher.
She watched the swordfight of the kids. The Queen managed to convert the teacher to the peteran faith and the teacher stood imediately at the evangelizing podium and then the queen could hear the lesson and I could carry on with the quest until the end. Don't forget to explore the trait aspects of the personality of the sims.It was fantastic! I hope this will help anyone!

Hi, I've been working on this quest with the Spy and Monarch,Shut It Down.however I can't get passed the part of the spy listening to lessons, all he does is eavesdrop but now I'm behind on quest. I've tried the crtl + click but nothing happens. At least I've leveled up the spy from lvl 1 to lvl 4. Does anyone know what I should do? I want to try to figure it out and not quit quest, thanks for any help!

If you have testing cheats enabled, you can ctrl+click on the icon next to your characters head which tells them what to do, and it goes away, moves on to the next part of the quest..

in dangerous minds i cant get the ghost costum ive looked on the net but the servant doesnt have the ask for costum on her and the merchant doesnt sell it . all this way in the quest and now im going to have to quite it please help its so annoying.

The game wants you to convince two children too join school, One happily does so when you tell them about it, the other is an orphan who must be scared into it. First take to both kids, one will join the school, the other won't. NOW you should be able to talk to the servant and they will spend sometime making the ghost costume while you wait. After he finishes you can get the costume from him, and click on it in your inventory to wear it. then talk to the kid again, and he will join the school.

You click on the Village Shoppe sign (Path to Village) and there is a option to go catch mice. Unfortunately, it can take a number of times to catch even one mouse.

You go to inventory and drag mushrooms which you have bought at the village shoppe into the cargo hold then sail. The mushrooms get exchanged for wood which you can then take from cargo hold on your return back.
