The Kingdom Status panelThe Kingdom Screen
On The Sims Medieval's Kingdom Screen are several points of interest. Most notable is the panel in the top-left corner of the screen. This shows you the Kingdom's Renown, available RP, and has a circular medallion that can be clicked to show your progress toward your current Kingdom Ambition.

Also in this area, you can click the little gold arrow to get an overview of your Kingdom's Aspects. This information is enough to tell you the Kingdom's current status. Depending on your Kingdom Ambition, you'll choose different strategies to succeed and earn a Platinum award.

Renown is a score that goes up proportional to RP you earn from doing Quests. Renown can also be increased through Random Events that happen from time to time while your Sim is adventuring in the forest, roads, or the high seas. Renown is a score metric in some Kingdom Ambitions. Otherwise, it's just used to unlock things. Certain Nations require up to 160 Renown to be Allied. At 60, the Reception Hall is added to the Castle.

Earning Platinum will give you extra achievement points. Doing so will add many points to your Watcher Level, which can be viewed by clicking the Achievements button on the bottom of the screen. Unlocking higher Watcher levels will increase the items and clothing available to you as you play The Sims Medieval.

There are several gameplay factors to learn about, and they all come from this screen. I'll list some helpful Strategy Guides we've written that cover various aspects of the gameplay.

Kingdom Aspects
Pull down the menu to view your Kingdom Aspects. These various stats all play important roles in your Kingdom. Security is responsible for your store prices, and high security will solve your mugging problems. Culture shows how developed your people are in the arts and culturally, and can provide more social interactions and Chosen by the Watcher special interactions. Knowledge will improve your Heroes' experience gains. Well-being determines how healthy your people are, and can improve cash flows for completed Quests.

Buildings
Buildings are placed in your Kingdom with your current pool of RP. They unlock Aspect Capacity which you can then fill by completing Quests. Placing a new building will also roll new Quests based on what Hero you just unlocked.
