Carl's Sims Medieval Strategy Guide and Walkthrough

The Sims Medieval Herbs and Metals List

Gathering Spots for All Herb and Metal Types in the Game

All Sim Heroes can collect Wildflowers, but Physicians, Spies, and Wizards can gather all kinds for use in their potion crafting. To collect an herb, you must first use the Discover action on the bush. This will reveal the type and will not need to be performed again so long as you collect it. Herbs in this game are static, meaning they always load in the same spot and the type doesn't change. Taking the Earthy Trait can improve your yields from gathering.

Similar to Herb Collecting, only Wizards and Blacksmiths can access Metals. They'll need to be discovered first, but once that's done collecting them is a one-step process.

One common question about herbs from players coming from The Sims 3 is, "How do you plant seeds?" Sadly, there is no gardening or planting to be done in Medieval, other than the collecting from plants. Seeds can only be sold and used for porridge, so you won't be planting any gardens in this game.

Herb List

This herb list is alphabetical and will reveal several spawn points for each of them. It will show you where to find at least three or four of each herb in the game. I'm not going to bother with Wildflowers, they're all over the place. I'll be telling you general spots near other buildings without screenshots. This should suffice for most players. Even if you have not placed a building like the Jacoban Cathedral or Clinic, the herbs are still there. If you look at Kingdom Mode you can tell where all of the buildings spawn.
