Free the Genie - step by step

1. Overflow the town well (30 XP)
-"Overflowing the town well will generate plenty of water."

2. Draw water from the well (30 XP)
(making a small wish at the well grants the Encouraged buff)

3. Return to tower (10 XP)

4. Research Genie for 1 hr at Archives (50 XP)

5. Summon the Genie at a Mirror (30 XP)
(needed to purchase a mirror, there wasn't already one in Tower)

6a. Create 1 Genie Stabilizer (50 XP)
-"A stabilizer is required to control the genie's massive power."
(obtain ingredients and use crafting station)

6b. Obtain 3 Soul Fragments (100 XP)
-"The genie's soul will be weakened when released. I'll need to use Spirit Thief on townsfolk to obtain multiple soul fragments."
(study and prepare the spell, easiest place to use it is on townsfolk who are at the well)

7. Release the Genie for 1h (30 XP)

8. Find the Genie (50 XP)
(he's in the cemetary)

9. Accept Token from Genie Alston (100 XP)

Quest Completed!

I cannot figure out how to steal part of a villagers soul for the Free The Genie Approach using the wizard. Any help? Thanks!!

why wont it let me over flow the well?

Can the genie be contacted after the quest, or does it just disappear?

I'm doing the monarch side and am stuck on ask suitmaker Rain. there is no one in the throne room, and no one named that under the sims.
